Bonnyrigg sink Spartans with injury time winner

Spartans welcomed Bonnyrigg Rose to Ainslie Park in a Lowland League match last night, and the visitors won the game with a 94th-minute wonder strike from Jonathan Brown.

Dougie Samuels men opened the scoring in the opening minutes through a Dean Hoskins free-kick from the edge of the box nestled in the net.

Brown levelled the game for the visitors when he broke away inside the box and his shot beat Blair Carswell in the Spartans goals.

Aaron Murrell put Spartans back in front after some terrific link-up play with Blair Atkinson, Murrell showed great composure as he slotted the ball beyond the advancing keeper and into the net.

With only one minute of normal time to play, Ewan Moyes levelled for the visitors when his looping header from a corner found the back of the net.

With it looking like a share of the spoils Brown picked up the ball on the edge of the Spartans box and his wonder strike crashed in of the post to secure all three points for Bonnyrigg.
