Spartans women crashed out of the Premier League Cup semi-final after losing at home to Celtic.
Spartans took the lead  midway through the first half thanks to a Colette Cavanagh goal.

She picked the ball up on the edge of the box and her shot slotted low into the net.

Spartans lead was short lived, and Kirsty Howat leveled it for Celtic when her shot from the edge of the box found the back of the net just before the interval.

Celtic got their second goal following some confusion, Spartans appeared to indicate they wished to make a sub but none of the officials reacted.

This allowed a quick throw from Celtic and sub Suzanne Mulvey broke away and fired beyond Rachel Harrison.

The game was marred by an injury received to Spartans skipper, Alana Marshall, who suffered a suspected broken ankle when she collided with an opponent.
