A teenager was threatened with a knife after trying to film a thief who snatched her bag.
Robbie White, 25, grabbed the 14-year-old’s bag as she was walking along West Pilton park in June.
As white rummaged through it, she began filming him on her mobile phone, before he dropped the bag an chased her in Ferry Road Drive.
He then pushed her over and threatened her with a knife and demanded she hand over the phone.
What pleaded guilty earlier this week at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to assaulting the girl.
Sheriff Ross deferred sentence on White for reports and to “consider his options” for sentencing.
White has previous convictions, including one for assault to severe injury.
