Police are investigating following reports of a sexual assault in Muirhouse earlier today.
Officers received the report just besides 2pm.
An area on Muirhouse Parkway is currently being guarded by police officers as the investigation continues.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Edinburgh received a report of a sexual assault on a woman that occurred on Muirhouse View.
“The report was made around 1.45pm on Wednesday 15 June.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
