Detectives have launched an investigation after an attempted murder in Pilton last night.
Officers responded after a man was attacked at a property with a bladed weapon just after 10pm on West Pilton Terrace.
The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Thursday, 5 January, 2023 officers were called to an address in West Pilton Terrace in Edinburgh following reports of an attempted murder.
“A 28-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
