Local MSP, Ben Macpherson, has written to the Scottish Government highlighting concerns about the recent issues with fireworks.
In his letter, to the Minister for Community Safety and Legal Affairs, Mr Macpherson asks the Scottish Government to review the current regulation of fireworks.
His letter was sent following several incidents across the area on Sunday night when at least one car was torched, and one police officers suffered burns while attending an incident.
Yesterday Chief Inspector, Stevie Sutherland, backed calls for a ban on firework sales.
