RNLI volunteers launched three times yesterday

First Page was at 05.4ohrs – Launched to search for a person in distress, possibly in the water in the Queensferry area.   – More details here

Second Page 13.40hrs

Launched to four people and a dog cut off by tide on Cramond Island. All four had been in the water in an attempt to cross back to the shore. They were taken back to the lifeboat station to be dried off and warmed up.

Third and final call out n Christmas Day at 23.40hrs

Launched to search for a possible person in the water. A thorough search was carried out between Queensferry harbour and Hound Point. A local workboat and passing shipping also assisted in the search. South Queensferry Coastguard carried out a shoreline search. With the search area well covered and with nothing found, all units were stood down.
