Local football team need your support at their fundraiser

Craigroyston amateurs who are currently at the top of their league have arranged a Race Night to raise funds for their training equipment

As a new local team for the 2014/15 season Sean Gardiner knew he would find it tough.

But the local lad took on the task of setting up a local football team.

Sean tells North Edinburgh Community News how the club is getting on in their first season.

“It’s been tough. Not just with our peers but financially too.

“So far we have managed to sustain a squad of 20 players, all season with not many changes in personnel.

“We have built strong bonds within the local community and now as we approach the end of our season at the top of our league we are seeking the help of our neighbours.

“We plan on hosting a presentation evening at the end of May and to buy new training equipment to see us into next season.

“Our fundraising Race Night is the way we intend to raise these funds, with your help we can.”

“Get your self along for what is sure to be a great night.”

Details of the night are:

Saturday 25th April 2015
7:30pm to 1am
£5 Per Ticket
Macenzies Bar , Edinburgh

First Race at 8pm followed by Buffet and Disco.

Horses are now available to own at £5 per horse.
