Over 450 people have signed a petition to save Pilton Retreat from certain closure if vital funding is cut.

The retreat out at Ratho has been in operation for 45 years and generations of families from North Edinburgh and beyond have benefitted from what it has to offer.

Pilton Retreat is a charitable organisation that provides a self-contained play environment in a rural location, primarily for groups & schools involved with children and families from the North of Edinburgh.

People have taken to social media to express their support for the retreat.

Donna Aldridge posted “So many memories of Ratho. Old and new first went at the age of 5 first time away from home and still go now with work at the age of 36. Ratho is a very big part of North Edinburgh. Always busy throught the year with Schools, Youth groups and Nursery groups. Needs to be saved”

Danielle Ward posted “Come on everyone let’s sign the petition and save Ratho/Pilton Retreat…..
