Drylaw skatepark opening delayed due to bad weather

The planned opening of Drylaw skatepark has had to be delayed following the bad weather.

The new park was to be opened this Saturday but it will now take place the new year.

Drylaw Telford Community Council chairman Alex Dale explained: “This is due to underfoot conditions at the park and a not too favourable weather forecast for Saturday, so we decided to cancel and reschedule the opening event to a time next year where conditions will be friendly for the opening.

“The weather has also forced the contractor to delay landscaping around the skatepark – this will now happen in Spring when conditions are more favourable”

We will keep you updated when a new date is confirmed.
