PEP’s handyperson service to close due to funding cuts

After 13 years serving the people of north Edinburgh the handyperson service operated by PEP will close.

A post on the projects Facebook post yesterday blamed the recent cuts for the service ending.

The post stated “Due to the recent council funding cuts; it is with great regret that we have to announce after 13 years PEP’s gardening and decorating service will end.

“We understand the detrimental affect this will have on the older & other vulnerable adults who depend on the service.

“From today we will not be taking any referrals for gardening or decorating jobs.

“We would like to thank everyone for their custom and support over the years and thank all the volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the service possible.”
